SWOT Analysis and Personality

SWOT Analysis developed by Albert Humphrey in the 1970s, has not lost its relevance even  now. SWOT stands for Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities and Strength. Though it was initially used to measure the position of companies, is now used to measure the potential of human personality.

Strengths
By strengths, what is meant is, the  factors that  contribute to ones strength. It could ones expertise in a particular fild of study, peculiar way of dealing with people, Verbal and witing abilities and many more that one feels, contribute to ones strengths. By introspecting on ones strengths, one refine it and use it to your advantage. It is highly recommended that evaluation in these line should be done in your college days.

Weaknesses
Weaknesses is definitely ones weak point. Identifying and Rectifying it will add to your advantage. It could be communication hick-ups, low confidence, lack of motivation, lack of particular skills and many more. Identifying ones weakness at an early stage makes it easy to rectify it, else would take much time. Studying time is an important period, as it is the when our character solidifies. So, identifying ones weaknesses and rectifying it should be youe cup of tea.

Opportunities
Speaking of opportunities, one should realise ones potential by using ones advantages and much more. One should find out in what they are good at and start pursuing it. There are people who have resigned from big positions and are pursuing their passions. One might ask, whether it is mistake to do such things. The answer to that question is,  human personality is multifarious and it is better to explore such possibilities. It could be your passport to success. So, watch out for your opportunities.

Threats
Threats is one thing that you have to watch out for. It could be the thing that could bring you down. Threats are those that stands as a hinderance to ones personality. It is not the same as weakness, as it come from within and outside you. Threats are something that one should watch out for, because one should also be externally safe.
